Scoring

I've set things up to reward making good picks in every round. Each is balanced at 48 total.

Round 1 Winner 1 Point
Round 2 Winner 3 Points
Sweet 16 Winner 6 Points
Elite 8 Winner 12 Points
Final 4 Winner 24 Points
National Champ 48 Points

Bonus Points

I've also included bonuses that go along with the good picks theme.

1. Picking all 8 Winners in one bracket in the first round. This will be worth 6 points. It can occur 4 times for a total value of 24 points.

2. Picking all 4 Final Four teams. This will be worth 12 points.

3. Picking the 2 teams in the National Championship. This will be worth 12 points.

Tiebreaker Procedure

This will NOT be based on the total number of points in the National Championship.

  • Who picked the national champion?
  • If both, who picked the most teams in the title game?
  • If the same, who picked the most teams in the Final Four?
  • If the same, who picked the most teams in the Elite Eight?
  • If the same, who picked the most teams in the Sweet Sixteen?

    • If this still results in a tie, the two winners will split the sum of the first and second place prizes.
